NYX Slide On Pencil Eyeliner Review

NYX slide on pencil eyeliner review

I’m always trying to find eyeliners that actually have vivid color AND will stay on well. I don’t usually do really colorful makeup (I tend to stick to neutral tones) but sometimes I want to add a nice pop of color.

NYX cosmetics has a lot of really great products that aren’t super expensive. They’re one of my favorite cosmetic companies. I decided to try their NYX slide on pencil (in Azure) to see how well it would work for what I wanted to do. Basically, I just wanted to put a pop of bright blue color right along my lower lash line.

I think it turned out pretty well. I wanted more of the color to actually be on my inner lash line (waterline), but it wore off pretty quick. That was disappointing because this eyeliner is supposed to be waterproof. But other than that, the eyeliner that didn’t wear off stayed all day. It didn’t smudge or anything and was still just as vivid by the end of the day.

You have to sharpen these eyeliners though (and personally I hate that, I prefer the twist up kind). These are shimmery but more in a metallic looking way. They don’t have any obvious glitter in them. They’re beautiful and highly pigmented and they go on really easy. So they’re much better than a lot of other eyeliners that look great at the tip but when you put them on you barely get any color. They come in 15 different shades. I think I’m going to try the Golden Bronze eyeliner next.

For the rest of my look, I used the first color in Revlon CustomEyes Eyeshadow in Naturally Glamorous on my lid. I also used it to line the outer area of the blue liner. From the crease to the browbone I used the lightest shade in Physicians Formula Matte Collection in Canyon Classics.
