Review Of HSI Professional Glider Mini Hair Straightener

I recently got a chance to review the HSI Professional Glider Mini. I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical that this thing would be any good. For one, it’s a travel-size hair straightener and I was actually kind of surprised by how small it actually is. Here’s a photo of it in my hand.

The heating plates aren’t very big either so I thought it would take forever to do my hair because I would have to use smaller sections than normal. But I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works. For one, it heats up incredibly fast. It only takes about a minute. I’ve used a lot of other straighteners and curling irons that take ages to heat up. And it gets very hot. That can be an issue with some straighteners, but the HSI Glider Mini has ionic ceramic tourmaline-infused plates that use eight HeatBalance microsensors to regulate the temperature. This ensures heat is evenly distributed through your hair so fewer passes are needed to straighten it.

After Using the HSI Professional Mini Glider

Here are a few pics of my hair after using it. My hair always wants to flip out on the ends and I used this to curl it under a little.

You’ll have to excuse the poor quality of the second picture. My phone decided it didn’t want to cooperate anymore. 😛

HSI Professional Mini Glider Pros

It’s made for traveling and it’s small, surprisingly small. But that is a good thing if you’re on the go a lot and don’t have a lot of space. It also works just as well as a normal-sized straightener. Actually, it might work a little better. Like I said, this thing gets very hot but it has special heating plates that regulate the temperature so it’s distributed evenly. It has dual-voltage (110/220v) so you can travel around the world with it and you don’t have to worry about whether or not the power cord is usable in other countries.

HSI Professional Mini Glider Cons

Honestly, I can’t think of any. It’s smaller than what I’m used to using so I felt like using it was a little bit awkward, but that is just me personally and I would hardly consider that a true negative. But it will take me a little while to get used to using it.

If you’d like to get one, they’re available on Amazon.
