One of my favorite things to do is go hiking. I mean what do you expect, I live in middle-of-no-where West Virginia. 🙂 Not a great deal of things to do here. But fortunately, we have a lot of really cool places to go hiking.
Of course, anytime I go on a really long hike, I always have trouble finding a good backpack to take with me that is big enough for all my things AND comfortable at the same time. But I just bought this 1XD Gear backpack from Amazon and tried it out for the first time today and I have to say I really like it.
Here are some pics from today’s hike that my boyfriend took. He hates getting his picture taken but I did manage to get a picture of his back. This is him with the backpack.
Here are some pics of me with it.
1XD Gear Features
I really like how comfortable is it. It has a metal wire frame that keeps the back slightly curved and a mesh fabric that lets air flow between the backpack and your back. So if you’re going to be wearing it for a long time it’s much more comfortable than a lot of other hiking backpacks. It’s huge. It is a 50L backpack so you can put pretty much anything in it that you might need. It has two big pockets on each side that are great for water bottles. We had normal sized bottles in it and the pockets pretty much swallowed them up. So you could put a much larger bottle in them if you needed to. It’s water resistant but it also comes with a rain cover in case you need extra protection. It has waist straps that have pockets that are the perfect size for a cell phone or anything else you might need to get to real quick.
Here’s a video I made so you can see all the cool features of this backpack.
