Swimming At Sandstone Falls…And A Spider Attack!

My friends and I decided to head out toward Sandstone Falls in Summers County, WV to find a place to swim. We found a nice, secluded spot next to the river.

But naturally, we weren’t alone. There were a few bugs running around. This is West Virginia, it happens. 🙂

According to my friend who knows a lot more about insects than I do, this is a “White-Spotted Sawyer, aka Pine Sawyer, aka Spruce Sawyer (Monochamus scutellatus)”.

And there was also some kind of weird, white spider that I decided to film since I couldn’t get my camera to focus on it. He clearly got fed up with my crap, as you’ll see…

We also saw a cute little turtle hanging out on a rock. 🙂

We didn’t hang out for long though. As much as I love being in the water, I don’t care for swimming in rivers. Things WILL bite you or at least try to and it’s very annoying. Haha. So we dried off and went into Virginia (Christiansburg) to eat at a Red Robin. My boyfriend wanted to get unlimited broccoli because he is an odd man. 🙂 <3
